I absolutely loved this book! Chris Wooding is a fantastic writer, and this book displays that same level of skill that I have come to expect from him. The book has a lot going for it. First off, the plot is face-paced and a lot of fun to read. Wooding has set the story in an inventive and well-crafted world, and I was impressed with the descriptions of the setting and the different cultures that make up the world. The action is well-kept up throughout the book–I was turning pages as fast as I could read to know what happened next. Additionally, I loved how much Wooding has developed the characters over time. I’ve read the first two books, Retribution Falls and The Black Lung Captain. Every time, I read a new book in the series, I get to know more about the characters, and I am genuinely impressed by that. In this book, the characters are amazing and touching. Definitely check this book out!
